When Albert Edward/Arthur Ronald COOPER lived in England the documentation uses the given names of Albert Edward. Once Albert Edward/Arthur Ronald immigrated to Canada he changed his given names to Arthur Ronald as found on all documentation in Canada. Is this the same person? or did Albert Edward die and Alexandra LAKE remarry? From our research we believe he is the same person. In some documentation he uses the same birth date and in all documentation found he used the same place of birth. One strong piece of evidence to support this is a Canada to United States border crossing record for his daughter, Dorothy. The information stated on this record is as follows:

Border Crossing September 1919; Dorothy CRYSLER; Age 30; Female, Married, English; Residence: Delhi; Next of Kin: Father - Albert R. COOPER, Delhi, Ontario; and son, Grant A. CRYSLER; Age 1 Year, 8-Months; Next of Kin: Grandfather

In August 1890 she sustained slight damage in collision with an iceberg in fog near Belle Isle. In November 1890 her commander and a quartermaster were swept overboard and drowned. In 1892 she was rebuilt with triple expansion engines and only one funnel, and in November 1894 she stranded at the entrance to Lough Foyle and was towed to Liverpool. In August 1896 she was in collision with the Beaver Line's LAKE ONTARIO in the St Lawrence River and both ships sustained damage. On 29/3/1902 she sailed from Liverpool for Naples and on 10/4/1902 commenced her first Naples - Boston sailing.
