 SAMUEL BIRD was born about 1770 in County of Donegal, Londonderry, Ireland, and died 1850 in Birdton, York County, New Brunswick (Parish of Douglas).  He married LETITIA KING.  She was born about 1775, and died March 02, 1868 in Birdton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada.

Samuel and Letitia travelled to Canada with their five children in June 1824 and eventually settled in Birdton, York County, New Brunswick.

Samuel's brother James, his wife, and their 3 children also settled in this area. James and his family arrived in Canada about 1819.
